Our team

Although Camborea was initially born from the work of Christophe and Sina, his wife, in the native village of Sina, the organization has gradually grown over the years and as the needs arise. Today it’s a team of 10 highly motivated people, almost all coming from the same village although each one has quite different backgrounds. Everyone plays an important role within this tight-knit family group, and plays the role of NGO ambassadors to their own community in order to convey Camborea’s values and so important messages at all times

Christophe BAILLET, Founder and director of the NGO.
French man born in Mont de Marsan, Landes department. Married, with two children, living in Cambodia for over 10 years.
Former French speaking tour guide, now working full time for Camborea since the Covid crisis started.

Strengths: Jack of all trades and a great ability to put himself in question.
Sina NOU, Founder and (precious) volunteer within the NGO.
Cambodian born in Plung where Camborea is located, in the province of Siem Reap. Married to Christophe and having two children.
Works as assistant manager for an arts and crafts company in Siem Reap.

Strengths: Her sense of relationship and her charisma.
Pheak KEAN, Community Garden and NGO’s site Manager.
Cambodian, born in Plung our village. Married, with two children.
Former Buddhist monk, did different jobs in construction among other things, before joining Camborea in 2017.

Strengths: Enormous knowledge of nature, and great versatility.
Phorn “Srey” KEOURT, employee (part-time) of the garden project in charge of seeds.
Cambodian born in Plung too. Married to Pheak, with two children.
Before joining the NGO in 2019, working in construction as well as in agriculture.

Strengths: Meticulous and great knowledge of plants.
Chek POUCH, multi-tasking employee (part-time) of our garden project.
Cambodian born in the village of Plung. Single mother with four children.
Worked as a waitress in a restaurant for several years, before joining the ranks of Camborea in 2019, first at our school.
 
Strengths: Dedicated and opinionated.
Nhei “Gnhy ou Costo” HOU, right arm of Pheak in the garden and coach of our football team (in the process of being created).
Cambodian born in the nearby village of Ta Trav. Single.
Handyman, worked as a gardener, in construction, and in the same craft company as Sina, before joining Camborea in 2021.

Strengths: Physical aptitude and passion for flowers.
Pheap PREAB, education project manager and English teacher.
Cambodian born in Plung, engaged.
After training in hospitality at Sala Baï, worked as a receptionist in several major hotels in the city, including the Sofitel. Finally joined Camborea in 2021.

Strengths: His smile and human contact.
Phoeuy LORM, library manager (currently being created) and school teacher.
Cambodian born in the village of Plung, and recently married.
Worked as a nanny for little Auréa, daughter of Christophe and Sina, before resuming her studies and graduating as a teacher. Joined Camborea in 2020 to take in charge the school’s second classroom.

Strengths: Good humor and relationship with children.
Pisey DOM, school teacher.
Cambodian born in the village of Plung too. Married and mother of a little girl.
Worked in a dental clinic in Siem Reap city before joining Camborea’s school in 2019. Is in the process of taking the diploma of teacher, doing alternating schools.

Strengths: Sweetness and love for children.
Reaksa SEB, school teacher.
Cambodian born in our village of Plung. Single, taking care of her nephew and niece after the loss of their mother (Reaksa’s sister).
She joined the Camborea team in 2019 when our school opened. Her teaching salary is paid by the government we work with. She is also passing the diploma of teacher, by doing alternating school.

Strengths: Her strong voice and her motivation.
